Black Hole Fishing is an incremental fishing game where an ordinary fishing pond gradually turns into a bizarre scientific operation centered around a hungry singularity. Instead of catching every fish with a traditional rod, players can use a black hole to pull huge numbers of fish out of the water, feed the singularity, and reinvest the results into increasingly unusual upgrades.
Fish are more than simple resources. Individual creatures can possess useful traits that can be compared, modified, and passed to future generations through cross-breeding. Research equipment, trait manipulation, automation systems, a fish-launching cannon, and even experimental machinery gradually transform the small pond into an absurd production and research facility.
How the Gameplay Works
Players begin by stocking a pond and directing fish toward the black hole, earning resources that can be spent on improvements. Rocks can be thrown into the water to frighten fish toward the singularity, while automated stockers eventually reduce the amount of manual management required. Better fish and stronger upgrades gradually increase production and allow the operation to grow much faster.
Fish can also be caught outside the main production loop and examined for desirable characteristics. Players can compare specimens, research them, inject new traits, change their appearance, and cross-breed selected fish in the hatchery. Additional equipment opens stranger methods of progression, including launching fish from a cannon for bonuses and using the Large Halibut Collider as part of the game’s increasingly ridiculous scientific experiments.
