BONEWORKS is a virtual reality action adventure built around extensive physics simulation and direct interaction with the environment. Players enter the strange virtual infrastructure of MythOS, where experimental systems, hostile entities, puzzles, and increasingly unstable environments turn a routine objective into something much larger.
Weapons, bodies, doors, crates, ladders, machinery, and other objects all respond to physical forces. The game’s design expects players to interact with the world using their virtual hands rather than treating objects as simple button prompts.
How the Gameplay Works
Players physically grab objects, climb ledges, push structures, operate weapons, manipulate mechanisms, and use environmental items to solve problems. Melee weapons respond to swing force and positioning, while firearms require manual handling and reloading.
Levels combine combat with open-ended physics puzzles and platforming. Because many objects behave consistently under the simulation, players can often improvise solutions by stacking items, moving heavy objects, climbing structures, or using tools in unexpected ways.
