About This Game:
Book of Demons is a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler set inside the Paperverse, a world presented like a living pop-up book. Players descend beneath an old cathedral and fight through armies of monsters while attempting to reach the Archdemon responsible for spreading evil through the land.
Instead of using conventional equipment menus, weapons, spells, skills, and useful items are represented as cards. This gives the familiar dungeon-crawling structure an unusual deck-building layer where choosing the right hand can be just as important as finding stronger loot.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through dungeon paths while automatically attacking nearby enemies and manually activating cards when special abilities or items are required. Monsters have different powers and defenses, making it necessary to react to dangerous effects rather than simply dealing damage as quickly as possible.
Cards can be discovered and upgraded, allowing stronger combinations to develop throughout the adventure. The Flexiscope system also lets players choose approximately how long they want an individual dungeon session to last before entering.
