The Riftbreaker is a base-building action RPG that follows Captain Ashley S. Nowak, an elite scientist and commando sent through a dimensional portal to the distant planet Galatea 37. Equipped with a powerful armored suit known as Mr. Riggs, Ashley must establish a permanent base, study the planet’s ecosystem, gather resources, and construct the infrastructure required to open a two-way rift back to Earth. The planet is filled with unfamiliar environments, valuable materials, and aggressive creatures that react to the player’s expanding presence.
The game combines large-scale base management with direct twin-stick-style combat and exploration. Players personally travel across the planet while constructing factories, power networks, defensive walls, research facilities, and automated resource systems. As the base grows, increasingly dangerous enemy attacks place more pressure on its defenses, requiring players to balance exploration and technological progress with careful preparation for large creature swarms.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control Ashley and Mr. Riggs from an overhead perspective while exploring procedurally generated regions, fighting hostile creatures, mining resources, and establishing new outposts. The mech can equip multiple weapons and tools, including guns, melee weapons, flamethrowers, explosives, and energy-based equipment. Resources collected from the environment are used to construct buildings and manufacture equipment, while research gradually unlocks stronger technology and additional production options.
Base construction requires players to generate electricity, connect buildings, process raw materials, and protect important infrastructure with walls, towers, mines, and other defensive systems. Enemy creatures can attack in increasingly large waves, so defensive layouts must be improved as the campaign progresses. Players can also scan plants and creatures, research alien technology, craft upgraded weapons and armor, and establish multiple bases across different biomes while working toward the resources and technology needed to complete the Rift Station.

How to Install:
