Chicken Invaders 3: Revenge of the Yolk is a comedic arcade shoot-’em-up where humanity once again faces an invasion of hostile intergalactic chickens. Players pilot a small spacecraft through waves of poultry, asteroids, bosses, and other hazards while traveling across increasingly absurd regions of space.
The game keeps the series’ parody-heavy tone while expanding the campaign with more enemy formations, weapons, bonuses, and large encounters. Food dropped by defeated chickens can also be collected, adding another running joke to the traditional arcade scoring system.
How the Gameplay Works
The spacecraft moves freely around the screen while automatically facing forward. Players fire continuously at incoming formations and collect weapon upgrades that increase damage or change the behavior of the main gun. Taking too much damage costs a life and can reduce weapon strength.
Different waves introduce chickens with unique attack patterns along with asteroids and environmental hazards. Boss battles require sustained fire while avoiding large numbers of projectiles. Cooperative play allows another player to join the fight and share the same screen.
