About This Game:
Children of the Sun is a tactical puzzle shooter where players control a mysterious sniper taking revenge on a cult. Each level gives the player a single bullet that can be redirected between targets.
The overall structure is strengthened by tactical sniper puzzles, single-bullet mechanic, and bullet redirection. These features give the player a clear sense of direction while still leaving room to experiment with different approaches as the game opens up.
How the Gameplay Works
Players scout enemy positions, fire one shot, and then steer the bullet from target to target. Special surfaces and enemy types add new rules, turning every assassination into a route-planning puzzle.
The later portions build on the opening loop through cult revenge storyline, level-based challenges, and score and route optimization. Those elements add new pressure and make earlier mechanics more meaningful, especially once the player has enough experience to combine them effectively. The game gradually asks the player to use tactical sniper puzzles more intelligently rather than simply introducing unrelated mechanics. single-bullet mechanic and bullet redirection expand the available options, while cult revenge storyline becomes a stronger factor once the basics are familiar. This makes mastery feel connected to understanding the systems. Later sections build naturally on the core systems instead of replacing them. tactical sniper puzzles remains important, but single-bullet mechanic and bullet redirection provide more specialized choices as the player progresses. When cult revenge storyline becomes more demanding, better use of everything already learned becomes essential.
