About This Game:
City of Brass is a first-person roguelite adventure set inside a cursed Arabian Nights-inspired city filled with undead enemies, traps, treasure, and supernatural dangers. Players enter the city seeking riches while attempting to survive a succession of increasingly difficult districts.
A melee weapon is paired with a versatile whip that can stun enemies, grab useful objects, activate mechanisms, and manipulate parts of the environment. Procedural level generation changes the arrangement of paths, hazards, enemies, and rewards between attempts.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through timed stages while fighting enemies, avoiding traps, collecting treasure, and searching for the route forward. The whip can pull enemies toward hazards or retrieve objects from a distance, creating options beyond simply attacking everything directly.
Treasure can be spent with genies on weapons and helpful upgrades, while other supernatural characters may change the rules of a run. Death normally ends the attempt, so learning enemy behavior and using traps intelligently becomes increasingly important.
