Codename Panzers: Phase One is a World War II real-time tactics game focused on commanding combat units through detailed battlefield missions rather than constructing a traditional RTS economy. Its campaigns follow different sides of the European conflict and feature tanks, infantry, artillery, reconnaissance units, and support vehicles based on military equipment from the period. Missions combine direct combat with defensive operations, assaults, escorts, and other battlefield objectives.
Individual soldiers and vehicles can survive from one mission to another, giving experienced units additional importance as a campaign progresses.
