Conflict: Desert Storm is a tactical military action game that places players in command of a small special forces squad during operations inspired by the Gulf War. Instead of controlling only one soldier throughout the campaign, players can switch between squad members who specialize in different weapons and battlefield roles.
The campaign sends the team through desert bases, occupied settlements, military installations, and other hostile areas. Completing missions requires a mixture of direct combat, careful movement, vehicle use, demolition work, and teamwork between squad members. The result combines third-person shooting with light tactical squad management.
How the Gameplay Works
The squad contains soldiers with different specialties, including rifle combat, sniping, heavy weapons, and explosives. Players can switch directly between them depending on the situation while giving basic commands to soldiers that remain under AI control. Positioning the squad properly can make heavily defended locations much easier to attack.
Mission objectives range from destroying military equipment to rescuing personnel, clearing enemy positions, and reaching extraction areas. Squad members can improve as they survive missions and successfully complete objectives.
