About This Game:
Conflict: Desert Storm is a squad-based tactical shooter set during the Gulf War, allowing players to command a four-person team from either the British SAS or U.S. Delta Force. Each soldier specializes in a different battlefield role, giving the squad a Team Leader, Sniper, Heavy Weapons Specialist, and Combat Engineer. The campaign contains 15 missions across deserts, towns, military installations, and indoor environments.

Instead of controlling only one soldier throughout every operation, players can switch between members of the squad depending on which specialist is best suited to the current objective. Missions involve reconnaissance, destroying enemy equipment, rescuing personnel, attacking fortified positions, and surviving larger battles against infantry and armored forces. Squad members improve their abilities as they successfully complete missions.

How the Gameplay Works
Players directly control one squad member at a time from a third-person perspective while issuing commands to the remaining soldiers. Orders can be used to move the team, hold positions, attack targets, or follow the controlled character. Switching between specialists allows the sniper to handle distant soldiers, the Heavy Weapons Specialist to deal with armored threats, and the Combat Engineer to perform tasks requiring explosives or specialized equipment.

Certain missions allow players to control military vehicles or call air strikes against designated targets. Weapons and equipment must be chosen according to the mission, while keeping squad members alive allows their expertise to improve over the course of the campaign. Multiple routes through many areas give players room to position the squad before attacking rather than always charging directly toward an objective.
