About This Game:
Dead Effect 2 is a science-fiction first-person shooter with RPG progression set aboard the enormous ESS Meridian spacecraft. After experiments aboard the ship go catastrophically wrong, its corridors become filled with zombies, mutants, cyborgs, and other hostile creations while surviving crew members attempt to understand what happened.
Players choose from different characters and develop them through weapons, implants, equipment, and special abilities. The game combines corridor-based shooting with a large amount of loot and character progression, allowing builds to become increasingly specialized throughout the campaign.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore the Meridian from a first-person perspective and fight enemies using pistols, rifles, shotguns, energy weapons, melee equipment, and character abilities. Headshots and weak-point targeting help conserve ammunition against tougher enemies.
Experience provides character improvements while equipment can be found, purchased, and upgraded. Implants further modify statistics and abilities. Main missions are joined by optional assignments and repeatable activities, while cooperative multiplayer allows players to take on selected content together.
