Cooking Simulator gives players control of a professional kitchen filled with usable appliances, ingredients, utensils, dishes, and cooking equipment. Instead of reducing recipes to simple button presses, it lets players physically pick up ingredients, cut food, season dishes, use pans and ovens, and attempt to prepare meals with the tools available around the kitchen.
Its physics system can make the experience either carefully realistic or unexpectedly chaotic. Players who want structured progression can manage restaurant orders and improve their kitchen through Career Mode, while those who simply want to experiment can use more open-ended modes to cook without worrying as much about customers or ratings.
How the Gameplay Works
Recipes provide instructions for ingredients, quantities, temperatures, and preparation methods. Players collect ingredients from storage, use knives and other tools to prepare them, then cook food using ovens, stovetops, grills, fryers, and additional equipment. Timing matters because food can be undercooked, overcooked, or ruined if it remains on heat for too long.
Completed dishes are evaluated according to factors such as preparation, temperature, ingredients, and presentation. Progressing through the career unlocks new recipes, perks, and kitchen improvements. Because objects interact through physics, mistakes such as dropping plates, spilling liquids, or sending ingredients across the room can also become part of the experience.
