About This Game:
The Surge 2 is a science-fiction action RPG set in Jericho City after a devastating technological disaster leaves the area under quarantine. Powerful machines, heavily augmented soldiers, dangerous factions, and strange nanite creatures now occupy the ruined city. Players create their own character and use an advanced exo-rig to survive while investigating the events behind the catastrophe.
Like the first game, combat is built around targeting individual body parts instead of simply attacking an enemy’s general health bar. This system connects fighting directly with equipment progression because armored limbs can often provide valuable crafting materials and schematics when they are successfully severed.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat uses stamina for attacks, dodging, blocking, and other actions, requiring players to manage aggression carefully. Enemies can be locked onto and individual limbs selected as targets. Attacking an armored body part is harder, but successfully finishing that limb can reward the player with components needed to build or improve matching equipment.
Directional blocking allows well-timed defensive moves to create openings for counterattacks. Different weapons have unique attack patterns, speed, range, and impact, while implants modify health, energy, healing, and combat abilities. Jericho City contains interconnected routes and shortcuts that gradually become easier to navigate as new areas are discovered.
