About This Game:
Dark Souls II is a dark fantasy action RPG set in the ruined kingdom of Drangleic. The player controls an undead traveler searching for a way to escape a curse that gradually strips away memories and humanity. The journey leads through fallen fortresses, forests, underground settlements, towers, castles, and other regions shaped by the kingdom’s troubled history.

The game expands the character-building options of its predecessor with a large collection of weapons, armor sets, spells, covenants, and combat styles. Several major routes can be explored in different orders, allowing players some flexibility in how they approach the early and middle portions of the adventure.

How the Gameplay Works
Players fight using stamina-controlled attacks, blocks, dodges, spells, and ranged weapons. Souls collected from defeated enemies are spent on levels and equipment, while death causes unspent souls to be dropped and gradually reduces maximum health while the character remains Hollow.

Bonfires provide checkpoints and fast travel between discovered locations. Players can strengthen weapons, improve character statistics, join covenants, and summon other players for assistance. Online systems also allow hostile players to invade worlds and challenge others directly.
