About This Game:
Death by Scrolling is a fast-moving action roguelite set in Purgatory, where remaining in one place for too long is not an option. The world continuously scrolls upward, forcing the chosen character to stay ahead of the advancing danger while collecting enough wealth to earn passage from the Ferryman.
Enemies, bosses, vendors, side activities, gems, and upgrades appear throughout each run. The Reaper is an especially persistent threat because it cannot simply be defeated permanently, turning survival into a constant race as players attempt to become stronger without falling behind.
How the Gameplay Works
Players fight enemies while continually moving upward through vertically scrolling environments. Gold and gems collected along the way contribute toward progression, while power-ups and vendors provide opportunities to strengthen the current character.
The Reaper follows the player throughout the climb and can only be delayed rather than permanently killed. Character-specific perks, boss encounters, and side objectives create different choices during each run, while leaderboards reward especially successful attempts.
