About This Game:
DrainSim turns an everyday maintenance problem into a surprisingly satisfying first-person simulation. Large sections of a city have flooded because drains and waterways are blocked, leaving the player responsible for finding the problem and gradually restoring the flow of water.
Instead of relying on a single tool, the game provides different pieces of equipment suited to different situations. Clearing rubbish by hand may solve a simple blockage, while deeper or heavily flooded locations require pumps and more capable machinery.
How the Gameplay Works:
You move through flooded areas searching for blocked drains and identifying what is preventing water from escaping. Tools such as rakes can remove surface debris, while submersible pumps help lower the water level enough to reach previously inaccessible locations.
The game’s water simulation makes progress clearly visible as streets and spaces gradually drain. Each completed job opens further opportunities to explore the city, tackle more complicated flooding, and experiment with different approaches to restoring the drainage system.
