About This Game:
Master of Orion II: Battle at Antares is a turn-based 4X strategy game where players guide an interstellar civilization from a single homeworld toward control of the galaxy. Expansion involves colonizing planets, researching technology, developing economies, negotiating with alien empires, and constructing fleets capable of defending or conquering star systems.
Each race has distinctive strengths and weaknesses, while custom civilizations can be created by selecting traits manually. Planet populations can be assigned to farming, industry, and research, giving players direct control over the economic priorities of individual colonies.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move fleets between star systems in turns while managing colonies and diplomatic relations. Research unlocks weapons, shields, engines, buildings, and other technologies that can be incorporated into custom ship designs.
Space battles can be resolved automatically or controlled tactically. Diplomacy allows alliances, trade agreements, technology exchanges, threats, and espionage, while the Galactic Council offers a peaceful political route toward victory.
