About This Game:
Duke Nukem II is a side-scrolling action platformer where Duke is abducted by the alien Rigelatins while promoting his autobiography. The invaders intend to use his brain to power a military computer, giving Duke another reason to escape captivity and destroy everything standing between him and freedom.
The sequel greatly expands the first game’s action with larger levels, more weapons, improved graphics, alien environments, and vehicle-like sequences. Duke travels through four episodes filled with robots, mutants, machinery, hazards, and bosses.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, climb, and fire weapons while searching side-scrolling levels for the exit. Weapons include the standard blaster along with stronger equipment capable of dealing with larger enemy groups.
Levels contain keys, switches, health items, bonuses, and hidden areas. Some sections introduce unusual movement or mounted weapons, while every episode eventually leads to a major boss encounter.
