About This Game:
Eliza is a visual novel about Evelyn Ishino-Aubrey, a programmer returning to society after years away from the technology industry. She takes a job as a proxy for Eliza, an AI-driven counseling service whose human operators read generated responses directly to clients.

The story explores mental health technology, automation, corporate ambition, personal responsibility, and the difference between listening to someone and merely following an algorithm. Evelyn reconnects with former colleagues while deciding what kind of future she wants.

How the Gameplay Works
Players read dialogue, choose responses, and follow counseling sessions where Evelyn is often required to speak the exact words selected by the Eliza system. Outside those sessions, freer conversations allow the player to shape her relationships and opinions.

Choices influence Evelyn’s later decisions and possible conclusions rather than creating combat or traditional puzzles. The game is driven almost entirely by writing, character interaction, and ethical questions surrounding technology.
