EMPTY SHELL is a top-down survival horror roguelite set inside a mysterious industrial facility in Japan. Players control disposable volunteers sent into dark underground areas where machines, creatures, and unknown experiments have transformed the complex into a deadly maze.
The game uses stark black-and-white visuals and randomized layouts to keep each expedition uncertain. Death is expected, and a new volunteer can inherit knowledge or equipment from earlier attempts.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore rooms with limited visibility, search containers, use firearms, manage ammunition, and activate terminals or machinery. Enemies can attack suddenly from darkness, making cautious movement important.
