Furi is a fast action game built almost entirely around a sequence of demanding boss battles. A mysterious prisoner escapes confinement with the help of a masked stranger and must defeat a series of powerful guardians standing between him and freedom.
Each guardian has a distinct personality, arena, fighting style, and collection of attack patterns. The experience combines sword duels with projectile-heavy shooting sections, requiring players to master several combat systems instead of relying on one repeated strategy.
How the Gameplay Works
Players attack with a sword at close range while using dodges, parries, and charged strikes against nearby opponents. At longer distances, the protagonist can fire energy shots while moving around arenas filled with increasingly complicated projectile patterns.
Bosses have multiple phases and health sections, with attack patterns changing as each fight develops. Defeat requires replaying portions of the encounter, making observation and learning the timing of each guardian’s attacks central to progression.
