About This Game:
Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is a top-down action game where a new group of Ghostbusters responds to paranormal outbreaks across New York City. Equipped with familiar ghost-catching technology, the team investigates haunted locations and battles large numbers of supernatural enemies.
The game is designed heavily around cooperative play, with four Ghostbusters appearing on screen during missions. Different proton-based weapons are required for different ghost types, encouraging frequent switching during combat.
How the Gameplay Works
Players aim and fire independently while moving through rooms filled with ghosts. Enemies have color-coded vulnerabilities, so choosing the matching weapon is necessary for dealing effective damage.
Fallen teammates can be revived by surviving players, making cooperation important during larger encounters. Missions also include vehicle sequences and boss fights alongside the regular top-down shooting.
