About This Game:
Gorky 17, also known as Odium, is a tactical RPG and horror adventure set around a mysterious Polish city where soldiers and civilians have disappeared following reports of mutant creatures. A NATO team led by Cole Sullivan enters the sealed area to investigate what happened to an earlier reconnaissance group.
The deserted streets and industrial locations gradually reveal a story involving secret experiments and grotesque transformations. Exploration takes place in real time, while enemy encounters shift into tactical turn-based battles.
How the Gameplay Works
Players guide the squad through isometric environments, search containers, collect weapons, and investigate the ruined city. When enemies appear, the battlefield is divided into a grid and each character receives a limited number of actions.
Weapons have different ranges and effects, including firearms, melee equipment, flamethrowers, explosives, and chemical attacks. Characters gain experience in the weapons they use, gradually improving their effectiveness as the campaign becomes more dangerous.
