About This Game:
Hi-Fi RUSH is a colorful action game where combat, environmental animation, and much of the world itself move in time with the soundtrack. Players control Chai, an aspiring rock star who gains an unusual connection to music after a corporate experiment and becomes the target of the technology company Vandelay.
Chai gradually joins a group of allies attempting to expose the company. The story mixes comic-book presentation, exaggerated characters, platforming, and large boss battles with a combat system that rewards players for attacking on the beat.
How the Gameplay Works
Basic attacks can be used at any time, but matching inputs to the musical beat improves combat performance. Light and heavy attacks can be chained into combos, while dodges, parries, special attacks, and partner assists expand the available options.
Because enemies and environmental cues also follow the rhythm, players can use visual and audio signals to maintain timing. Boss battles introduce their own musical patterns, while additional challenge modes provide harder combat objectives after the main adventure.
