About This Game:
HORSES is a surreal first-person horror adventure set on an isolated farm where an apparently ordinary summer job gradually exposes a disturbing system of control and dehumanization. Players take the role of a young worker who is expected to follow the farmer’s instructions while learning more about the people and practices hidden on the property.
The game mixes interactive first-person sequences with filmed intermissions and imagery influenced by experimental cinema. Its short campaign unfolds across fourteen increasingly unsettling days as the protagonist’s understanding of the farm changes.
How the Gameplay Works
Each day gives the player tasks and interactions around the farm, with the farmer providing instructions about how work should be performed. Exploration and observation reveal details that place those routines in a more disturbing context.
Following or questioning what is happening drives the experience forward as new situations appear from day to day. Gameplay is primarily built around exploration, task completion, environmental interaction, and narrative discovery rather than conventional combat.
