I Was a Teenage Exocolonist is a narrative life simulation and deckbuilding RPG about growing up in humanity’s first extrasolar colony. Players experience ten years of adolescence, making choices about education, friendships, romance, work, exploration, and the future of the settlement.
The game remembers many decisions across a playthrough and even uses knowledge from previous lives through its time-loop structure. Relationships and colony events can change dramatically depending on what the player chooses to study or prevent.
How the Gameplay Works
Each month, players select activities that raise skills, deepen relationships, or advance story events. Challenges use a card-based system built from memories collected throughout the character’s life.
Exploration outside the colony can reveal alien wildlife, resources, and dangerous secrets.
