Identifile: Desktop Dungeon turns a corrupted computer operating system into the setting for an action roguelike. Players control the desktop cursor itself, entering infected folders that function as dungeon rooms and fighting viruses hidden throughout the file system.

Its interface-inspired presentation is more than a visual theme. Folders form the locations being explored, files can contain rewards or dangers, and executable programs become sources of new abilities during a run.

How the Gameplay Works
Players maneuver the cursor through procedurally generated areas while avoiding large numbers of hostile projectiles and attacking viruses. Movement therefore resembles a bullet-hell game even though the environment is presented like a computer desktop.
