INMOST is a dark cinematic puzzle-platformer that tells an interconnected story through three playable characters. Its ruined world is filled with abandoned structures, dangerous creatures, hidden passages, and symbolic scenes that gradually reveal the relationship between the characters and the events surrounding them.
Pixel-art environments and atmospheric sound design give the adventure a somber tone, with storytelling delivered through exploration as much as direct dialogue.
How the Gameplay Works
Each protagonist plays differently. One character explores and solves environmental puzzles, another faces enemies more directly, while the young girl’s sections focus on a different perspective and style of interaction.
Players climb, move objects, activate mechanisms, avoid hazards, and search for paths through interconnected locations. Progress frequently shifts between characters, slowly providing more context for earlier events and connecting the separate parts of the narrative.
