Deep Sky Derelicts is a science-fiction RPG about scavengers searching abandoned spacecraft on the edge of known space. A crew of mercenaries investigates derelicts for valuable technology and clues that could lead them toward a legendary mothership and a better future.
The game combines comic-book presentation, tactical card battles, crew development, and procedural exploration within dangerous ships occupied by machines, aliens, and other scavengers.
How the Gameplay Works
Players assemble a three-person team and explore derelicts room by room while managing limited energy. Encounters switch to turn-based combat where equipment determines which cards and abilities each crew member can use.
Loot collected during expeditions can be equipped, sold, or replaced with stronger gear. Character classes and equipment combinations create different tactical options, while returning safely to the station allows the crew to recover, trade, and prepare for deeper expeditions.
