About This Game:
Into The Grid is a cyberpunk roguelike deckbuilder where hacking is represented as a journey through a dangerous digital landscape controlled by powerful corporations. Players become Runners who enter the Grid, battle defensive programs, search for valuable resources, and construct a deck of increasingly effective software.

The game combines card battles with exploration inspired by tabletop board games. Decisions made while moving across the Grid can be just as important as decisions during combat, since players must weigh risk, resources, rewards, and the possibility that continuing along a dangerous route could end the entire run.

How the Gameplay Works
Cards are Programs that perform attacks, defenses, and other digital actions. Every played card also generates Virtual Memory, or VIM, giving even a less-than-ideal hand some strategic value. Stored VIM can then activate powerful Commands that operate alongside the normal deck and can completely change the outcome of an encounter.

Between battles, players move through a tactical map containing decisions, encounters, rewards, and hazards. New Programs can be added to the Repo, existing cards can be upgraded, and weaker choices can be removed to improve consistency. Hardware modifications and perks further customize the Runner’s Console, while different playable hackers introduce their own mechanics and approaches to deck construction.
