About This Game:
ITORAH is a hand-painted action-platformer following a young human named Itorah as she explores the mysterious land of Nahucan. Humanity appears to have vanished, leaving Itorah surrounded by masked beings, ancient ruins, hostile creatures, and a spreading plague threatening the remaining inhabitants.
The adventure draws visual inspiration from Mesoamerican landscapes and mythology while focusing on exploration, platforming, and melee combat. Detailed forests, caves, temples, and other regions provide the backdrop for Itorah’s search for answers about herself and the world.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through interconnected side-scrolling areas using jumps, dodges, climbing abilities, and environmental mechanisms to reach new locations. Itorah carries a talking axe that serves as her primary weapon against the creatures blocking her path.
New movement abilities gradually expand the areas that can be reached, while combat encounters require players to recognize enemy attacks and dodge before striking back. Larger bosses test both movement and combat skills at important points in the story.
