About This Game:
IXION is a science-fiction city-building and survival game set aboard the Tiqqun, a massive mobile space station carrying humanity through a dangerous journey among the stars. After a catastrophic event changes the mission completely, the station becomes responsible for preserving human civilization while searching for a possible new home.
Players manage both the internal city inside the station and the exploration of surrounding star systems. Hull integrity, population trust, power, food, resources, and living conditions must remain stable while the Tiqqun faces accidents, shortages, and discoveries that can affect the entire mission.
How the Gameplay Works
The station is divided into sectors where roads, housing, farms, factories, storage facilities, medical centers, and other buildings can be constructed. Workers and non-workers have different requirements, while production chains convert mined materials into alloys, electronics, polymers, food, and other necessities.
Science ships explore planets and anomalies, mining ships extract resources, and cargo vessels return materials to the station. Moving the Tiqqun between systems advances the story but also creates new risks. Maintaining hull repairs and public trust is essential because losing either can bring the entire mission to an end.
