About This Game:
Janosik is a short retro action platformer inspired by legends of the Slovak outlaw hero Juraj Jánošík. His companions have been captured by Count Von Zur, sending Janosik into a dangerous mountain castle filled with enemies, traps, hidden passages, and useful upgrades.

The game combines straightforward platforming with light Metroidvania-style exploration. Its compact world contains enough optional rooms and secrets to reward players who search beyond the direct route to the prisoners.

How the Gameplay Works
Players run, jump, roll, and attack enemies while navigating spikes, moving hazards, and narrow platforms. New items and upgrades improve Janosik’s abilities and can make previously difficult or inaccessible areas easier to reach.

The castle is interconnected rather than divided into entirely separate stages, so exploration involves learning how different rooms connect. Coins and secrets provide additional objectives beyond simply reaching the end of the adventure.
