Knights of Honor II: Sovereign is a medieval grand strategy game where players rule a kingdom across Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. Diplomacy, religion, trade, warfare, royal marriages, espionage, internal stability, and the abilities of a royal court all contribute to whether a realm grows or collapses.
The game aims to provide broad grand-strategy management without requiring every province to be controlled through a separate menu. A limited royal court forces players to choose which specialists deserve one of the kingdom’s valuable leadership positions.
How the Gameplay Works
Players manage provinces, recruit armies, sign agreements, arrange royal marriages, trade with other realms, and assign knights to roles such as Marshal, Merchant, Diplomat, Cleric, or Spy. Each court member can develop skills that improve the jobs they perform.
Wars unfold on the strategic map, while important battles can also be commanded directly in real time. Expanding too quickly can create unrest or diplomatic opposition, so maintaining stability and relationships is often as important as winning territory.
