Long Gone Days is a narrative RPG about Rourke, a young sniper raised inside an underground military organization and sent on a mission that causes him to question everything he has been taught. The story focuses on war, propaganda, language barriers, and the human consequences of following orders.
The game uses a modern setting and avoids fantasy monsters, making conversations and civilian encounters as important as combat. Morale and relationships influence the party’s ability to continue.
How the Gameplay Works
Battles are turn-based and allow players to target specific body parts for different tactical effects. Rourke can also use sniper sections that require identifying and selecting targets from a distant viewpoint.
Outside combat, players speak with civilians and party members, sometimes needing interpreters because characters speak different languages.
