Mech Armada is a turn-based tactical roguelite where players build custom mechs from modular parts and fight alien creatures across grid-based battlefields. Each machine is assembled from chassis, weapons, mobility systems, and utility components.
The construction system is closely tied to tactics. A fast lightweight mech can reach objectives quickly, while a heavy build may trade mobility for armor and weapon range.
How the Gameplay Works
Players position mechs on tactical grids, attack enemies, collect energy, and spend resources to deploy or upgrade machines. Parts can be combined into specialized battlefield roles.
Procedural encounters and bosses make each run different, while new components expand the construction pool. Strong teams usually consist of several complementary designs rather than copies of one powerful mech. The strongest approaches usually come from balancing turn-based tactical combat with modular mech construction and grid-based battles instead of maximizing a single feature. Later on, procedural encounters becomes another important consideration and can punish inefficient choices. This makes planning, positioning, or resource use increasingly meaningful as the challenge grows. As more of the game opens up, turn-based tactical combat remains central but gains extra depth from modular mech construction and grid-based battles. Those systems create room for different strategies, while procedural encounters encourages better use of the tools already introduced. Progress therefore feels like an expansion of the original loop rather than a series of disconnected mechanics.
