Men of War: Vietnam is a real-time tactical strategy game set during the Vietnam War. Its campaigns follow small groups of American and North Vietnamese soldiers through jungle operations where careful positioning and control of individual troops are more important than producing large armies.
Maps contain dense vegetation, villages, fortified positions, vehicles, and destructible objects. Soldiers carry individual inventories and ammunition, allowing captured weapons and battlefield supplies to be used when the squad begins running low.
How the Gameplay Works
Players command an entire squad from an overhead tactical view or directly control one soldier at a time for more precise aiming and movement. Cover, stealth, grenades, machine guns, mines, and captured equipment can all be used according to the situation.
Because squads are relatively small, losing an experienced soldier can make later objectives more difficult. Searching bodies and supply crates for ammunition or better weapons becomes an important part of surviving longer missions.
