About This Game:
My Time at Portia is a colorful life simulation and crafting RPG where players arrive in the town of Portia to restore a neglected workshop left behind by their father. Starting with a basic workbench and a small piece of land, the goal is to gather materials, complete commissions, construct useful machines, and gradually become one of the most respected builders in town.
Portia is filled with residents who have their own routines, personalities, friendships, and stories. Outside workshop duties, players can farm, raise animals, explore ancient ruins, fish, attend town events, develop relationships, and uncover information about the civilization that existed before the current world.
How the Gameplay Works
Players gather wood, stone, ore, and other resources before processing them through furnaces, cutters, grinders, and additional workshop machines. Commissions usually require crafted items or larger constructions, rewarding money, reputation, and improved relationships with the people requesting them.
Mining ruins provides relics and materials, while dangerous areas introduce real-time combat against creatures and hostile enemies. Better tools and equipment gradually open new opportunities, while farming, fishing, social activities, festivals, romance, and home improvements provide plenty to do between major building projects.
