About This Game:
Ori and the Will of the Wisps is a cinematic Metroidvania adventure that follows Ori beyond the forest of Nibel into the troubled land of Niwen. After becoming separated from the young owl Ku during a storm, Ori searches for a way to reunite with their friend while helping restore a world suffering from decay.
The sequel greatly expands combat while retaining the fluid traversal and emotional storytelling of the original. Diverse regions introduce their own creatures, environmental hazards, movement challenges, puzzles, and large-scale encounters.
How the Gameplay Works
Ori gains abilities that allow increasingly complex movement, including wall jumps, dashes, grappling, burrowing, swimming, launching from projectiles, and gliding. New powers regularly open routes through locations visited earlier.
Combat uses equippable spirit weapons and abilities rather than relying mainly on a companion attack. Shards modify Ori’s strengths, while side quests, Spirit Trials, combat shrines, collectibles, and upgrades reward exploration throughout Niwen.
