Dogfight: 80 Years of Aerial Warfare is a MicroProse combat flight simulator that explores the development of fighter aircraft across several generations of aviation. Players can experience air combat ranging from World War I biplanes to much faster modern jet fighters.
The aircraft selection includes famous machines from different eras, allowing the handling and weapon capabilities of early fighters to be compared with later aircraft. Historical missions are joined by hypothetical matchups that let planes from different situations face one another.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control aircraft from detailed cockpit views while navigating, identifying opponents, and maneuvering into suitable firing positions. Different eras introduce changes in speed, weapons, and available cockpit systems.
