About This Game:
Phantom Abyss is a first-person asynchronous multiplayer adventure built around escaping dangerous procedurally generated temples. Each temple contains traps, narrow platforms, branching paths, treasure, relics, and guardians that become increasingly dangerous as players descend deeper underground.

The ghosts of other players appear during runs, showing where previous explorers jumped, hesitated, discovered routes, or died. These phantoms can provide useful clues, but blindly copying them may lead directly into the same trap that ended their attempt.

How the Gameplay Works
Players sprint, jump, slide, and use a whip to cross gaps or reach distant ledges while avoiding blades, crushing blocks, spikes, pits, and other temple defenses. Different whips and blessings can modify movement or provide useful advantages during a run.

Progress involves reaching deeper temple sections and eventually escaping with a relic. Because death ends the current attempt, players must constantly decide whether additional treasure and optional rooms are worth the added risk.
