Pixel Shinobi Nine Demons of Mamoru is a pixel-art stealth platformer with RPG and crafting elements. Players control a shinobi moving through dangerous levels where remaining unseen can be just as valuable as direct combat, with experience gained from eliminating enemies and completing missions.
Progression allows additional ninjutsu abilities to be learned while collected materials can be turned into useful weapons, poisons, explosives, healing items, and other equipment. This gives players several ways to prepare before entering heavily guarded areas.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through side-scrolling levels using platforms, hiding positions, stealth kills, and direct melee attacks. Enemies can be observed and approached carefully, making it possible to eliminate isolated targets before the rest of the area is alerted.
Crafting ingredients found during missions can be converted into shuriken, poisons, mines, grenades, elixirs, and other tools. Experience unlocks additional abilities, allowing the shinobi to become more capable as increasingly dangerous enemies and locations are introduced.
