About This Game:
Plants vs. Zombies 1 is a lane-defense strategy game where a suburban homeowner protects the house from waves of zombies using an increasingly strange collection of plants. Each plant has a specific purpose, from producing sunlight to shooting projectiles, blocking lanes, exploding, freezing enemies, or countering special zombie abilities.
The game gradually introduces new lawns, enemy types, and environmental rules. Day, night, pool, fog, and rooftop stages each require different plant selections and tactics.
How the Gameplay Works
Players spend sunlight to place plants into grid squares across several lanes. Sunflowers and related plants generate the resource needed for stronger defenses, while offensive plants damage zombies before they reach the house.
Before most stages, players select a limited set of seed packets, making preparation important once the plant collection becomes larger. Mini-games, puzzles, Survival modes, and a Zen Garden provide additional activities beyond the main Adventure campaign.
