About This Game:
Prince of Qin is an action RPG set during the final years of China’s Qin dynasty, combining historical figures and locations with an alternate version of history. Players take the role of Fusu, the eldest son of the First Emperor, who survives an order that should have led to his death and begins investigating the events surrounding his father’s suspicious passing and the political struggle that followed.
The journey moves through towns, battlefields, tombs, wilderness areas, and other locations inspired by ancient China. Fusu can recruit additional companions from different character classes, allowing the party to combine melee fighters, ranged specialists, magic users, and support abilities. Equipment crafting, side quests, historical characters, and multiple possible endings give the adventure a strong role-playing focus.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat takes place from an isometric perspective and allows a party of up to five characters to fight at the same time. Players can control individual heroes, issue orders to the group, use class abilities, equip different weapons and armor, and take advantage of elemental strengths and weaknesses based around the Five Elements system.
Exploration leads to main quests as well as optional assignments that can provide equipment, experience, companions, and additional pieces of the story. Items and weapons can be found or created through the crafting system, while different party combinations make it possible to approach battles in different ways. Decisions and completed quests can also influence which conclusion Fusu eventually reaches.
