About This Game:
Project Zomboid is an open-ended zombie survival game built around one simple question: how long can you stay alive after society has collapsed? Players enter a large infected region where houses, stores, warehouses, roads, and rural areas can be searched for supplies while thousands of zombies gradually turn even ordinary trips outside into dangerous expeditions.
Survival involves far more than fighting the undead. Hunger, injuries, exhaustion, weather, disease, character skills, vehicles, farming, construction, and long-term food supplies all need attention. There is no traditional victory waiting at the end, so each character’s story is shaped by the decisions that eventually keep them alive or lead to their death.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from an isometric perspective while searching buildings for food, weapons, medicine, tools, clothing, and useful materials. Zombies react to sight and sound, making broken windows, alarms, gunshots, and careless movement potentially dangerous. Houses can be secured and eventually turned into more permanent bases.
Characters improve individual skills through repeated use and learning, while crafting, farming, fishing, cooking, mechanics, and construction support longer survival attempts. Vehicles make distant travel easier but require fuel and maintenance. Multiplayer allows groups of survivors to cooperate, trade resources, establish bases, or face the outbreak together.
