About This Game:
Need for Speed Payback is an open-world arcade racing game set around Fortune Valley, where three drivers reunite to take revenge against a powerful criminal organization known as The House. Tyler, Mac, and Jess specialize in different styles of driving, allowing the story to move between street racing, off-road competition, drifting, police escapes, and action-heavy driving missions.
Cars are central to progression, with a large selection of vehicles that can be purchased, discovered, upgraded, and visually customized. The surrounding desert, mountains, highways, city streets, and industrial areas can be explored freely between events, creating a mixture of structured racing and open-world driving.
How the Gameplay Works
Players enter races and driving challenges to earn money, reputation, and performance upgrades. Different vehicle builds are designed for activities such as Race, Drift, Drag, Runner, and Off-Road events, encouraging players to maintain several cars instead of relying on one machine for every competition.
