About This Game:
Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire continues the adventures of the hero from Spielburg after traveling to the desert land of Shapeir. The city faces threats from elemental forces and political unrest, eventually leading the hero toward the neighboring city of Raseir and a much larger conspiracy.
The game combines Sierra-style adventure puzzles with role-playing statistics, combat, character classes, and skill development. Fighters, Magic Users, and Thieves encounter different solutions and optional activities, while worthy characters can also begin the path toward becoming a Paladin.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore streets, desert locations, palaces, and other areas while entering text commands in the original version. Skills improve through use, meaning repeated climbing, combat, magic, or other actions can gradually strengthen the hero.
Combat and puzzle solutions depend heavily on character abilities. Saved heroes from the first Quest for Glory can be imported, retaining important statistics and allowing the same adventurer to continue developing across the series.
