Race Driver: Grid is a motorsport racing game where the player develops a professional racing career across events in Europe, the United States, and Japan. After earning money by driving for other teams, players can establish their own team, sign sponsors, purchase cars, and hire a teammate.
The game blends accessible handling with serious circuit racing and includes a wide variety of disciplines. GT racing, touring cars, drifting, touge battles, open-wheel events, demolition races, endurance competition, and street circuits all require different driving approaches.
How the Gameplay Works
Players race licensed vehicles on real and fictional tracks while managing braking, cornering, drafting, and vehicle damage. The Flashback system can rewind a short section after a mistake, with the number of available rewinds depending on difficulty settings.
Career progression is divided across regional licenses and championships. Sponsorship targets provide bonus income, teammates score points for the player’s team, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans serves as a major recurring endurance event.
