About This Game:
Reassembly is a space sandbox that combines modular spaceship construction, exploration, resource gathering, and large fleet battles. Players begin with a relatively small vessel and gradually turn it into something much larger by attaching engines, weapons, armor, generators, shields, and other specialized blocks.
The universe is procedurally generated and populated by different factions with their own ship designs and behavior. Destroying enemies and gathering resources allows the player’s influence to grow, eventually making it possible to command fleets containing ships based on custom designs created through the construction system.
How the Gameplay Works
Ships are assembled from individual geometric components using an accessible editor. Every piece affects the finished design, so the position of weapons, engines, armor, and structural blocks can change how a vessel moves and survives combat. Poorly protected sections can be broken away during battles, while effective designs can remain operational after significant damage.
Players travel through the galaxy gathering resources, fighting opposing factions, upgrading their capabilities, and creating additional ships for their fleet. The physics system gives constructed vessels noticeable weight and momentum, making the shape and balance of a design meaningful beyond its appearance.
