About This Game:
Retro Machina is an isometric action adventure set in a retro-futuristic world where humanity has disappeared and robots continue maintaining the civilization left behind. The story follows a small worker robot that begins malfunctioning and is thrown away by the automated city of Endeavor for no longer performing its assigned role perfectly.
Trying to repair itself leads the robot beyond the city’s controlled streets and into forgotten facilities filled with machines, puzzles, and evidence of the humans who once lived there. Its most unusual ability is the power to take control of other robots, turning potential enemies into temporary tools.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore interconnected environments, fight hostile machines, activate mechanisms, and solve environmental puzzles. Enemy robots can be hacked and controlled directly, allowing their unique abilities to be used against other machines or to reach locations the main character cannot access.
Different controlled robots provide different solutions, such as operating distant mechanisms or attacking enemies from another position. Exploration gradually reveals new areas and upgrades while the story uncovers what happened to humanity and why Endeavor’s machines continue performing their routines long after their creators disappeared.
